Oooh, where in Greece and Italy? We did a Greece/Italy trip about 10 years ago (Venice, Florence, Rome, Positano, Athens, Santorini) and it was amazing. We also went in the spring, which was great to avoid the high tourist season. Have fun!!

Exercise helps me dramatically. Even a walk or 15 minutes of yoga. But I deff slip into the anxiety-no sleep-dont want to exercise downward spiral all the time. It sucks!

I am realizing how much I use reading to manage my anxiety! I'm at 48 books this year. Two days off in a row is basically a vacation for me. I'm at a 6 day a week work routine for the foreseeable future. I think I might have to talk to my doctor about anxiety meds...

My middle daughter (my Eleanor) has pretty bad anxiety and she was diagnosed with some mild depression too. She started on meds almost a year ago, and we're still trying to figure out the best dosage. She learned the 54321 technique from her therapist. Sometimes I wonder if anything she learns is sticking, because she still struggles so much, and then she goes and suggests a way to cope when I'm feeling down! I hope your extended time away fills your cup and soothes your cortisol. :)

Low dose medication has certainly helped but I've also implemented working out more, meditation, and making sure I walk the dog frequently during the week to get outside (plus that gives me audiobook time!)
